Horse at Tadapani, Nepal

Standing on snow in sunlight

At Tadapani on the Annapurna trail, two small horses (I'm not sure whether it's acceptable to call them ponies — it's certainly not in Mongolia) wandered near the village.

Oh! This is stunning beyond words - and I do not mean just for your technical proficiency. I've been yearning for images like this. It is so beautiful. Thank you.

A creature with a tough life.

According to wiki, there is a technical difference between ponies and horses,

RR, this was more deliberately (or consciously) composed than many of my photos. I'm glad you think it worked :^)

Barbara, I'm very pleased you like it so much; that a scruffy little horse can evoke such a delightful response ;^)

Zhoen, you're right — it must be a tough life there, and I imagine these are tough little ponies. Thanks, too, for the link to the info — I hadn't thought to check whether horses and ponies differed: now I know.
